SERVICE DESIGN
Sensitive attitude as the main skill to understand user's needs, gains and pains.
I am Marlenne Escalante, an easy going person who loves art in all its presentations, a culture explorer and a very good listener. I studied Industrial Design in a Business school, which introduced me to creative strategy. The perfect match between creative and structured solutions for products, brands and processes.
After a couple of years life took me to the country of art and best food, life took me to Italy to study the Master in Service Design. But stop, did I forget to mention where I come from? Hell yeah! I was proudly born in Mexico, the country of colors and traditions. During the last years I have been wandering in countries whose lifestyle is different from mine. This has given me my biggest super power: Flexibility. Growing up in Mexico, volunteering in India, working in Egypt and studying in Italy have taught to understand people’s background, environment and everyday interactions with other people, services and tangible and un-tangible products.
As a Service Designer, I am glad to guide organizations to facilitate their services through a planet center design solution. Taking in consideration not only the human resources, but also stakeholders, culture, mindsets and yet very important, environment resources.
I am convinced that practicing Service Design as a mindset could lead the way we value the success of a country, a service or a community in a more qualitative based data.
Sensitive attitude as the main skill to understand user's needs, gains and pains.
A creative mind to imagine multiple solutions in an aesthetic way.
Design as the order of all the elements. Thinking in an holistic structure.
Due to my passion to explore and learn from new cultures and people, in 2017 I created Rostros Errantes blog. Click on the link below and come along to explore this project with me.
